Engagements for Brandon and Jennie

This was a wonderfull downtown session. Cody and I had a great time with Brandon and Jennie. There personalities shine right through the photographs. We had to fight the wind throughout the session, so I was glad we were downtown not only for the amazing textures but also the abundance of wind blocks. I am so excited about the upcoming year. We have some great couples who are getting married in 2010!

Remain Calm....

One of the comments that I hear most during the sessions: "I was so nervous about coming in and getting my picture taken, but now that we're shooting... I'm having a lot of fun."

Seriously? Seriously.

See, I think the thing is that many people think that we are a stuffy studio that will only have you sit on a stool in front of a boring background and make you smile and pose in a way that is not your personality at all. (Remember the Glamour Shot's scene in Napoleon Dynomite?)

That's just not the case. As photographers (or as I like to call it "photographists") we like to have fun too. We need to be creative and we love to come up with new ideas. We also love working with our clients, wether they are students or whole families, on achieving those new ideas. It's all about creating an image that you love and we as artists and photographers can be proud of.
